I think God graced us with four seasons for a reason. We may not think we like change, but I think everyone needs change in their life once in awhile. So one thing that always changes is the seasons. You never have to worry in Manitoba about the weather staying the same. Weather is basically different every single day of every single month of every single year. These next four blog posts will be titled after seasons and my thoughts on them - a few stories included possibly!
After winter comes sweet spring! The tough, harsh cold gives into a fresh, new breeze and sunny warmth. You look up into the beautiful blue sky, listening to the birds chirping, seeing all the animals dancing about! Living on the farm you know spring is here when you start having a lot new birth. Its so refreshing when you watch little lambs dancing around at two days old, kicking their legs out and hopping to the beat of the wind in the bare trees.
New life! One of God’s beautiful creations. The look of a new mother upon her newborn baby is something that can’t be beat. The overwhelming love for that child that you see in their eyes.
I can just imagine the look of God the Father as newborn children become His. The tender look in His eyes as He calls you His! Only His! The spring time that must happen in heaven every time someone becomes a child of the one true living King I know must make spring on earth look so dead in comparison! That is such an overwhelmingly, beautiful thought!
As I close my eyes and imagine almighty God smiling at me and calling me His darling, His Princess, His beautiful little girl, makes tears run down my face.
I start feeling so unworthy of the unconditional love He gives to me every second of every day. The breath that he always gives me right when I need it. The fact that I wake up every morning and know that the sun will come up. He gives us such good gifts and is always a good, good father; always.
Life isn’t always spring time but Jesus Christ is always the same and will never change. The joy that comes with Spring and new life is something that can always be with you, no matter what life circumstances are. The joy knowing that Jesus looks at His children that way and you have hope in the Father. He always welcomes you back with open arms and proclaims truth over you. Joy that you have a eternity with Him. Life may get tough on earth but you have such a blessed knowledge that what ever may come you have hope within you; hope that is secure because of the sacrifice Jesus Christ our Lord made on the cross 2,000 years ago.
